A White Marble Figure of Standing Bodhisattva

Northern Qi (559-577)

Standing figure is carved in the round. Buddha wears a crown decorated with flora sprays, and has a benevolent expression and smile, the collar pendant which is skillfully carved  and  a yingluo, hands across the chest. the figure wears a long skirt tied at the waist and pendant of linked beads hangs in front of the abdomen, and stands bar-footed on a lotus pedestal.

Age discolored, scratches, chips and both hands missing.
