A Bronze Figure of Buddha Shakyamuni
12th Century
Seated in vajrasana on a high pedestal, with his hands in the gesture of teaching, his sanghati loosely draped over his left shoulder falling in crisp folds , his face with cold gilding and finely delineated features, with calm expression and spiral urna, his hair arranged in tight pointed curls with domed ushnisha surmounted by a ball-shaped cintamani.
